Preparing for deployment #1..

I never thought I'd post here..
.. well, at least for a few years. DH volunteered for a deployment with the New York National Guard unit that deploys in December. A slot just opened up within the past week for an E4 slot.. and that's what DH is, so it's basically set. December it is..
So much for our 1 yr anniversary together, Jordyn's 1st Christmas, Jordyn's 1st birthday, and everything that happens in a years time with 2 little girls. I don't know what I'm looking for with posting this.. just support and advice and everything else. I really have no idea what to expect, and I'm scared ****less.

when I first got together with my DH I never thought he would get deployed and now he's been three times so I def got a reality check lol but never the less you can never be prepared for that news so I'm sorry it's happening sooner than you expected!! just stay strong and keep busy! as far as him missing important events just make sure you take tons of pics to send him :-)
