You can't ruin ANYTHING by adding CHEESE....

Hello My name is Jessica I am new...
I am just figuring out how to utilize this site. I am searching for some sort of support network because my dude is leaving on deployment for about a year. He is off in training currently and will come home for a week or two before leaving again. There are times I feel super duper strong like I can handle this and anything else and then I think oh my gosh I miss him so much already and its only been 2 weeks and he is just in Cali!!! So I figured I should set myself up with a account and get conversating with people who know what I am talking about.
Any tips on how to best use this site or prepare for the long haul deployment would be much appreciated. Thank you.

![]() My best advice is to stay busy while he is gone, and relax and just enjoy each other when he is home. Pre-deployment can be VERY stressful on both people and IMO the best thing you can do is just take it one step and day at a time.

![]() As for tips, take it one day at a time. Look at getting through each day as an accomplishment. Live for each time you are able to talk to him! I sent my guy a lot of funny cards, letters, and care packages. It really made me feel like I was helping him, and was comforting to me as well.
