1st Submarine Deployment - Deployment Preparation

My man and I have been together for 3 years and he's shipping out for his first sub tour in May. I cry my eyes out, a lot. He's in CT and I'm in MN. I can do this, I'm a little sister to 2 Iraqi Vets. It's just, people talking. Ya know how they go under for some weeks, then pull into port some place, hang out, and do that cycle. Well, all these people keep telling me "He's gonna pull into a port and party 24/7. Get drunk, do girls." Constantly, "He's gonna cheat on you. No doubt" I talk to my boo about it and he says, "Yes, it happens. But you should no better than to think I would do that to you."
Though my mind still wanders, HELP!!!

you have to trust him. you will be okay. he'll be able to call when he pulls in and you will get email sporadically while they are actually out to sea.

He will drink and party but that doesnt mean he will go out and do any random girl he sees. He will be able to call you. Trust your instincts because you and only you know what your honey is like

DH was on subs when he was in the Navy. It is all about trust. If you trust him and he has never given you a reason to doubt him, don't start now. Is your DB on a fast attack or a boomer?

I heard MANY horror stories straight out of DH's mouth when he returned back from West Pac.

I do trust my man, but this is the first time in our realationship has been pushed to these limits. He's been true for 3 years, whats another 4? haha!

Bubblehead is a rather common nickname for submariners.
