    i work at the VA hospital here and i got some info on this emotional cycle... and i casually brought it up to my SO and he got really defensive OOPS... he didnt show many signs of the "pre-deployment" stage at all and he said it was all bull crap... but so far the "deployment" and "sustainment" cycles seem pretty true to me

    Im still in the pre-deployment stage too!!! This is dead on. Knowing that everything im feeling is totally "normal" makes me feel better about all this. Maybe instead of counting down the days, I can count it in stages........ Thank you so much for posting this!!
