this sucks.
DF and I are about to go through our first deployment. He just seems so out of it. He is forgetting things I've said and when we talk it feels like neither one of us has something to say. I don't know exactly when or where he is going, its opsec. All the sudden I have become so emotional about everything, and I don't want to go through this. I feel silly because I know some of you ladies have been through lots of these... I'm just new at it. I know God will protect him and that He will comfort me during the time DF is gone, but it is hard. I cry just thinking about it. We are already separated (He's stationed in GA and I'm going to school in OK)... but for some reason it is harder knowing he'll be in combat and not just a won't be a call away.
I have been working 40 to 50 hours a week to keep myself busy... what helps you when your SO is gone? (not asking for pity by any means, just any advice) |

It is not pity sweety, deployments are very hard.Keep yourself busy and if you need to cry for couple of days just do it, the first week is the hardest and then you will get used to it once you are in your routine.Just spend some special time together before he leaves.

Keep busy - sounds like you're doing that at work anyway. If it helps I don't know when my boyfriend deploys or where he deploys to either - in fact he can't even communicate with me, often for months at a time! I'll PM you!
