joe just left from his two weeks leave to go back to washington. he deploys early 2008. so this was possibly our last goodbye for a year.

he doesn't think he can come home again before he deploys. i told him i would come up there if he can't come back. i don't think i have fully understood that i might not see him for a YEAR.

it hasn't hit me. i can't comprehend not seeing him for that long. i need to do everything possible to make it up there before he leaves.

ok, that's my whining.

is there anything i can do for joe or myself to make it easier on us that we won't see each other for so long? i'm not positive i'll be able to save enough money to go up there.

we'll be able to talk on the phone just like usual for a few more months before he deploys.

i'm sorry girl!! i know that feeling sucks but try to make the most out of the months he has left .. even if its over the phone!!!

Have over the phone movie dates if you can, send random i love you messages, little things that you will be able to have memories of while hes gone to add to the memories you already have!!

do you have a webcam? maybe that will help so that way you guys can still see each other but not physically kwim? and as they always say, just keep yourself busy. start scrapbooking pictures of you guys yeah it'll make you miss him but you'll see all the good times you guys have had. hope this helps

thanks ladies. i love the over the phone movie dates idea. i'll see what he thinks.

and i just made him a coffee mug with pictures of us on it and he loved it, so i'll try the scrapbooking. i want him to leave my some voicemails, too
