If he were to deploy

If he is inactive reserves right now and is called to active duty, will he go back in as what he left? He was discharged honorably from the Navy after choosing to get out after 5 yrs. So would he go back in as a GM2 as an E5? I'm just wondering if his pay would be the same.

Also, how much more do you get aside from your normal pay & BAH when they deploy?

I was just thinking about it last night and wondered if anyone would know the answer to this. I haven't asked him.

i am unsure about what he would go back as, but i would think he would get family sep, and depending on where he deployed, haz duty, tax free, all that

usually they go back as 1 rank less i think

I asked DH and he said he'd go back as the same rank but not necessarily as the same rate, e.g he might have to do the job of an MP etc if recalled to go to Iraq.
