This gal of a stb deployed Navy reservist needs some help
For hubby's past deployments we've always been attached to a base. This time were not--he's a Navy reservist that will be going to Afghanistan in January and I'm not sure of some things. Who can I call for information after hubby is gone. (i.e. I hear something on the news and want to see if his unit is affected?) If I need any other type of help should I assume I go to the nearst base to me? Is there a link of information for other wives like me of a reservist?
TIA, Laura

I am pretty sure that if your hubby goes to a higher up and asks him they will give him some numbers so you can have them while he is away. Also remember that nothing will be on the news with out you knowing it first. Good Luck with your deployment...sorry I wasnt much help

I just want to say I can relate to your situation. We are army reserves now and so far his unit has did nothing. They have been on active duty for the entire month and are deploying to Iraq within a few weeks and so far we havnt had one deployment briefing and no FRG has been set up
![]() Ive had to everything on my own, thank goodness we were active before, but I feel so bad for the other families and wives that may know nothing about military life. We keep asking and they keep saying , "we really need to set one up", but never do. ![]() But hopefully youll have better luck with DH unit. |
