IA?

What is an IA? I am wondering, because a lot of you ladies on here really don't like it...could some one tell me? MY DB is a Construction Electrician in AIT...could he be sent on it?

it's a tour to Iraq, i forget what it stands for but basically it's a deployment to Iraq. Anyone can go even the considered non-deployable can go. They started doing random tours. So at anytime he can get a phone call saying your number came up you are going.

IA stands for Individual Augmentee.

its an Individual Augmentee where he can be sent basically anywhere, not just iraq. he could go to Afghanistan, bahrain and even germany and i am surelots of other places. so basically they take him from his duty station and send him on a deployment where they need people. i probably didnt explain that very well lol
