It happened
Hes gone
He left about an hour ago! DD didnt even want to hug him or kiss him goodbye. I could tell it broke his heart. If this is how she acted for just a boat DET I cant imagine how shes going to act when he doesnt come home for 6+ months! ![]() I did good though, I didnt cry today and we just sat together holding the girls and talking to some friends, like nothing was going on. So far I guess Im ok, just feels like hes at work when he doesnt come home tonight it will hit me!

![]() aww i'm sorry hun!!! yea i think it takes a little while to sink in for people. Your daughter probably doesn't fully understand the situation, its too hard to fully grasp sometimes. I hope it gets easier for all of you.

don't worry too much about your dd not saying goodbye, my kids do that sometimes. Once when I dropped dh off at the air terminal the leaned into the car to kiss the kids and they were not happy. of course it was really early. But he did it anyway. He knows she loves him. the first day is always the hardest, but now you can start counting down to when he comes home.
