Frustrated

Ok only slightly. So my dh has been gone for almost 7 1/2 weeks by the time he will get home (very soon ) And the thing is I almost have me and the kids into a routine. And then he will be home through the holidays and then gone for just enough time to tick me off that I will not get sep pay. And then home and then it is deployment soon after.

The back and forth is starting to get to me. As much as I want to see my Dh and be with him right now I am at the point I think where I already just want him to go so we can get this deployment out of the way.

Having said that I cannot wait to see him here soon I know I am a mess. I just needed to vocalize it for a minute since it all just caught up to me.

Hang in there, girl! You're doing brilliantly, and he'll be back soon. I know waiting always sucks, but once he's home for a bit it'll feel better, even if he has to go real soon again.

I couldnt wait for my husband to leave lol We both just wanted him to go so we could start looking forward to him coming home! The anxiety of him leaving was terrible! Is it possible to keep your kids in some what of the same routine when he does get home so you dont have to disrupt everything completly?

I went through that too. This year, here was our schedule

Jan 1- Feb 16- he was gone
Feb 17-April 17 - he was home
April 18- May 6 - he was gone
May 6- May 20- he was home
May 21- July 25- he was gone
July 25-Aug 3- he was home
Aug 3-Sept 19- he gone
Sept 19- Sept 24- I visited him
Sept 25- May of 2008- Iraq.

So, lots of saying goodbye and seeing each other again. In May I started wiched he were gone so he could just come home for good. Lots of ups and downs is hard for any one!
