Thats not a bad thing. I always remind people that everyone handles thing differently. I was like it total shock when my husband left and didnt cry till way later that night when it all hit me. So I cried and cried picked myself back up and felt so much better. so no its not a bad thing

, I don't think it is a bad thing. Maybe you need a break and are jsut going with the flow? I think when it fianlly hits you, you will find yourself loving him more than you ever have!

Definitely not a bad thing! As Mrs.Ordinance said, different people handle things in different ways. It may hit you later, it may not. I hardly cried at all when DH was gone, it was very random when I did. That's not to say it wasn't hard, I just dealt with deployment feelings in my own way.

It did not hit me till DH left for country. Its ok knowing exactly where they are, and they are safe...once on the plane you dont know. And thats when it hurts. I still get bouts of worry from time to time. But we are nearing the end so those are getting less and less.
hold onto that, you will need it soon!

they said it!
you are just handling it differently than others. i know when DB left for basic, i thought id be fine.. its just basic right? well that first week i was a nonstop crier. its ok that you arent too bothered. and maybe it WILL hit you later and you will be a mess. or maybe it wont. there is nothing wrong with ANY of that. just feel how you feel and dont compare it to anyone else. |

no, not a bad thing! you could be like me... three or so weeks to go, and i've already started crying! i do it when he's not around, don't tell him, and hope that its all 'out of my system' when it comes time to say the real good-bye. i want to be strong because he has enough to worry about!
