Deployment soon
Sooo..DH is leaving on Halloween of all days! I know what to expect because I went through this with my ex. But by the time he came back we were not together anymore. So this will be tougher on me. I plan on losing a little weight by making use of my YMCA membership. Im gonna go back to school in January. Also, Im going to start working as soon as he's gone. I'm also already pretty active in my church. I have my kids to focus on. I've already begun buying him things for care packages. We set up a joint account yesterday so he could do allotments for bills (he's keeping the rest cause i told him i'd spend it if i had it-hey, at least i'm honest) So, I feel like i'm ready but then I feel I'm not. I dont think the reality has really set in. I dont feel like he's going anywhere. I dont think I'll really feel it until he's long gone. I'm so scared because this is his third time being over there and I am scared to death that it's pushing luck to go over there that many times and still come back alive. Agh! I hope I can will myself to focus on other things while he's gone.

wow you have a great plan already! you seem to have a lot to keep you busy while he is away...and that is perfect! Of couse there will hard days and even tougher ones, but you kids need you to be strong. My prayers are with you and your man. I'm confident he will come home safe and sound.

Well, if it makes you feel any better my DBs original day to deploy was 9/11. I was BESIDE MYSELF...good news is the military is NEVER on time with ANYTHING haha. The date may change a few times in the next week. I think its great you have a lot planned for while hes gone! That will really help a lot! I did the same thing, and although I am so sad and lonely I stop and think, wow if DB was here I wouldn't even have time for him!!! Also, the statistical info on your DH dying over there is totally in your favor! My DB always tells me not to worry about him, hes worried about me! There is a higher chance for you to be killed by a drunk driver this year in the US, then it is to die in Iraq/afghan. So, there is some good news! I am SURE he will be okay! and so will you! We are here for you! Take care!!!
