Can there be an "Unofficial Deployment Pals"?

    Advertisements
I don't know if this is allowed or not, but I was wondering if there could be an "Unofficial Deployment Pals" for those of us who would like someone to be pals with and just talk to during their SO's deployment, even though we don't meet the requirements for the official one?

If so...I'd like to do it, obviously! Just someone to keep in touch with, and support each other through it, would be great.

You could join the deployment support groups. The deployment pals have rules so people can get the most from a pal, and hopefully not have a pal flake out.

My DF is deployed right now and I would have no problem chatting with you during!

I agree with this. Find the month of your deployment/homecoming and join that group. There are no requirements to join those. Plus there is the twice weekly check-ins that you can join.

If you're just looking for someone to vent to, you can PM me. My DF just deployed.
