I need a buddy BAD - Deployment Pals

Okay here it goes my bf leaves for Iraq his 2nd deployment there, the first with me. This is so hard on me and I have really no one to turn to because no one in my family has ever been through all of this before. His mom live like 20 minutes and does what she can to help me out and until he leaves he calls as much as he can and texts me all day long. I try to keep my head up but it is hard. I have never been through this and do not know what to expect. He explains things to me, but I am just scared. I just need someone who has been through this before because I am lost.

Well there are lots of people on this board that have gone through/ are going through/ or are getting ready for deployment.

If you ever need to talk please don't hesitate to msg me. I'm going through my first deployment with my boyfriend as well. There are a lot of people going through the same things so you will find a lot of support here.

(((hugs))) I am on the last 2 months of my first deployment. Dh is not with a unit, so I do not have the support of a FRG. If you ever need to talk, just let me know. It has been a long 13 months so far, I have 2 more to go.

I'm on the last leg of a hardship tour. I've gone through one deployment with my DB, and I know it is tough. You just have to hang in there...and welcome to MSOS btw
