New, Kinda Shy, & Looking For A Pal - Deployment Pals

Hey ladies. I'm new to the site. I've posted a little here and there but I'm really looking for a pal. I'm a little shy so joining this site is a very big step and out of my comfort zone.

DB left for Iraq May 3rd. It's been tough not hearing from him on a regular basis. I've missed 2 calls from him because I've been at work. He can't call often.

Hi!! My dh left on May 9th to Iraq. I haven't received many calls either. I would say about 5 total between calls and yahoo chat. Thankfully I know a few other ladies and when they hear from their husbands they let me know and vice versa. For the most part everyone is friendly here so just jump right in. I am fairly shy too.

I'm Lisa. My DB left has been in Iraq since February, and this is the first deployment for both of us.

Good for you for getting out of your comfort zone. If you ever need to talk, just PM me! I'm on here a lot right now because I'm on summer break.

welcome I can relate it was a big step for me as well to join the website and open up and talk it has helped me though and my hubby is also deployend he wont be home for a a few more months. Im a army wife and mommy to 3 boys

I'm shy about this stuff too, it will be ok :-) My Marine has been in Iraq since March ...this is the first time I've done a forum like this before too....I'm always around somehwere if you need to talk :-)
