I found out about Four days after he shipped out, at which time I was barely getting over the saddness of losing him for a year that he had been cheating on me. We have since broken up and I discovered he cheated OUR entire relationship with at least 2 other girls.




This is my first deployment, He is my first Military BF and we have been dating 5 months. This has been very hard for me because I am used to hearing from him everyday. He is in Va training then we be shipped out to Kuwait. I am don't know how much free time he is gonna have in Va or how often I will be able to hear from him.

My advice is to get use to not talking to him as much while he's in VA....try to kinda wheen yourself off it so its not such a shock when he gets deployed....or you could take the other root and try to get as much contact as possible cuz it wont be as easy while he's gone....you'll make it dont worry. Just gotta start finding things to keep yourself busy and keep you moving forward. This site helps a lot tho so you were def right to post and join

Hi! I"m Charity - and I'm almost done with deployment #1. #2 is coming at the end of the year.

This site is amazing - the girls here have been lifesavers.

Deployments are HARD - but doable. Find something to occupy your time - I work out and am losing weight. It's a good slow thing that requires lots of concentration. But...it's kept my mind off of missing DB!

Good luck! Suck up all the time you can with him - and make sure when he leaves, you keep the lines of communication open.
