Deployment Buddy? I am here!
Hi y'all
![]() I think it's time to look for a deployment buddy. I've typed my story a few times around this site, but I'll do it again. Sorry if it's old news. My DB is deployed to afghanistan for more than likely 5 and a half months. I am currently living in Ohio, and DB is in the Australian Air Force. So, he's not from the states (and I will be moving to Australia the day he gets back), but I'll be here for quite a while nonetheless. DB has been gone since the end of March, and I have been taking it rather hard. However, my mood and general daily attitude has improved drastically since joining the site. So, thanks ladies!

Oh wow, hi hi!
![]() Thanks for your replies. It would be nice to talk to someone here or there especially now that DB and I made the decision to talk less so he has more spare time while he is over there (we were talking quite a few times each day on MSN and through emails... but now he is sort of getting exhausted and wants some more downtime). Anyway... lol I think I'm dealing fairly well... but this is my first deployment and I still have 3 months or so before I'll get to see him again. It's hard. I had no idea what it really meant to be in a relationship with someone in the military, and it's hard to learn how to deal with it too. So thanks ladies... I really appreciate it.

Op if you need anything feel free to PM me. My sig other is currently deployed, my first with him, but his third time. He is a lifer locked into a 20 year contract. I've read your story, and like I said need anything, or someone to talk to my PM box is always there.

Hey thanks Geotech.
I appreciate the offer very much. My DB is in for life too (no contract but is very very keen on retiring from the military). He loves his job, and I'm so happy he's found something that he loves like that. I'm keen and excited for him. ![]() I'm a little bit under half way done with this deployment... my first ever and his first. It'll be sooo good for it to be done and over with.
