Actually the posting limit was lowered to 100 starting with the current round of deployment pals.

Can I sign up for deployment pals even though my DH deployed 5 months ago??? I really like talking on the phone and I am on here all day!

You only need 100 to join. This is for deployment pals. If your SO is deployed you can join. As long as during that month he is not returning for any reason, whether that be r&r or homecoming. (it's not fair to your pal cause you stop talking them)
