Currently the California school system requires the following for Kindergarten:

    - Diphtheria,Tetanus, and Pertussis (DTaP, DTP, or DT) —5 doses
(4 doses OK if one was given on or after 4th birthday)
    - Polio (OPV or IPV)—4 doses
(3 doses OK if one was given on or after 4th birthday)
    - Hepatitis B—3 doses
    - Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)—2 doses
(Both given on or after 1st birthday)
    - Varicella (Chickenpox)—1 dose

For 7th grade they require a Tdap booster shot

I get seeing some people torn on the concept but I'm 100% for it honestly. It's irresponsible not to vaccinate unless you have a medical reason for not vaccinating so I say mandate them, especially if you want to utilize the public school system.

Sounds like a good plan, knowing their requirements.

I think all vaccines (minus the hpv for young girls not sure what the age requirements are at the moment) should be required by everyone UNLESS you have a life or death medical issue with them.

I could be completely off on this, but a lot of people that it hasnt been around long enough to know of any major side effects.

Pretty much this. Also (and I will admit its been a time since I looked into it) last I knew they were suggesting it for early teens. I don't agree with that for the reason of not really knowing about it. As a suggested for older teens or adult women ok...
