Does age have anything to do with it? - Debates

So there's all these posts about infidelity all the time, people getting cheated on, people being broken up by their BF, etc. This got me wondering something.

Do you think that age of a man (I'm talking men specifically) is linked to the percentage of men who cheat? What I mean is...do you think that a certain age group of men cheat more than others? Or do you think that men cheat pretty evenly percentage-wise across the scale? Why or why not?

From what I've heard and seen, cheating doesn't affect only a certain age of men, just a certain level of douche-baggery.

i don't think age really has much to do with whether they cheat. cheating is a choice not a stage of life or something.

I think some guys grow up and grow out of it... I think some men grow up and grow into it.

I really don't think age is a big factor.

I dunno, for some reason I tend to see more men of a younger age (like in their early 20's) or older men who married young (like in their late 40's and 50's) that seem to stray most often. My only thought was that perhaps younger men just feel like they haven't sewed their oats and give in more easily into temptation, and maybe the older men feel like they never got to fully sew their oats when they got married really young. This is just my perception though, I don't have any statistics or anything....although I wonder if there are some out there somewhere

Why does age always get dragged into debates when personality is the consistent? Jerks come in all ages. Just like rude people, stupid people, immature people, nice people, caring people, family-types, sexually curious people, etc etc...

x-DH was 23 when he cheated. He had never experienced anyone else before, and that's why he did it. I don't think all men who cheat think that way, though, or even the majority.

Age doesn't have anything to do with it. It's an individual matter.

There might be a number of guys a certain age that cheat, but how many guys are the same age that do NOT cheat?

Douchenozzles come in all ages/colors/ethnicities/religions/etc. I donj't think there is a particular age group that is more likely than others to cheat.
