So most people see polygamy as being wrong and gross.. and mostly it's illegal..

If people think that then why is it that most people think Hugh Hefner is the man in his like polygamist relationship???

That is a good question and have never thought of it that way. I did watch a special and it was just.... horrifying... i mean my mom taught me to share and all but i just couldnt

Why are you concluding this as people's feelings about Hugh Hefner?

Hugh Hefner is twisted and depraved, sexist and chauvanistic. Only people who feel the same way he does hail him as something "inspiring."

Obviously sex sells - just not for me.

Polygamy is multiple marriages.

Hefner is not married to any of his girlfriends nor does he represent the relationships as marital. Technically he is simply dating several women. Which is not illegal.

I don't follow the latest on Hugh Hefner's relationships so I have no grounds to comment on this. But definitely don't think he's "the man"

I don't think polygamy and polyamorous relationships between consenting adults is gross.

It isn't my relationship

I wouldn't like someone saying who or what I can do

ETA- why does it matter what hugh hef. does in his bedroom?

I don't have issues with polygamy i have issues with things that seem to come with it, child brides, etc. We had a huge on going deal with it here in Bountiful, BC, where they have their own compounds and schools etc. It gets pretty twisted if you read and look into it.
