leaving a sleeping baby/toddler in the car..?
This is kinda a S/O of another thread, but..
If you child/toddler ended up falling asleep in the car, would you leave them in there while you go into, say, your mother in laws? Or a friends house? I mean, with the window open and in a distance that you can see/hear them cry if they wake up. I'm not talking about leaving them in the car for hours while you're at the mall or something, I'm saying someone's house, while the car is in the driveway. Debate/discuss.

If I was going to go into the house/location, hell freaking no, and im pretty sure leaving a young child in the car for any amount of time is illegal in most states...
If I was running up to the door and not going in, would depend on the age, temp, and how far the door was

No.
If my son is going to wake up from a nap, he wakes up as soon as the car is turned off. Otherwise, I can just bring him in the house, and lie him down and he'll continue with a nap. As an infant, I'd just bring the carrier in. ETA.. I wouldn't leave him even if he did wake up. It's far to risky, and also illegal. |
