Teen Costumes - Debates

I was browsing through partycity.com for costumes for my 15 yr old and was a little disturbed at the "teen" costumes and how skimpy they are.

How the hell do they pass that $hit off as "teen" costumes. Some of those costumes look like something I would wear in the bedroom for dh!! Please give me one good reason a teenager should be wearing a french maid costume that barely covers her a$$ and thigh highs with garter belts. Is modesty obsolete now?

I'm all for embracing your sexuality but in a healthy way...this just does not seem healthy to me...almost disrespectful toward your body? What do you think?

I'm in college and I've gotten where I don't even like going out on Halloween. I understand these girls are in their 20s and free to dress however they want, but I hate that Halloween has become an excuse to go out half naked. I'm sorry girls, just because it's halloween, doesn't mean you don't look trashy. And there are plenty of ways to come up with sexy, cute costumes while still being covered.

by teen they could mean 18+ most of the models don't look like 'teens' but more young women.
That being said ODD usually wants to make her costume. this year I went to the goodwill and found a wonderful 80's prom nightmare dress perfect for her dead fairy look. and then went to savers to find her wings

hmmmm, maybe 18+ i would be sort of ok with it. i don't have a daughter so i'm not sure how i would feel about it. but for a 15 or 16 year old...no way in hell!
