Right or Wrong? - Debates

Ok I dont know if there has been a thread about this before or not.

My husband and I have a couple that are good friends, they are going through a rough patch right now. There was a situation where one of them logged in to the others facebook and read messages in their inbox.

Do you think it is right or wrong?

I know that your SO should not have anything to hide so it should not matter BUT is it right or wrong in your opinions?

If there has been a thread about this before just say so.. dont mean to post the same things that have been posted before.

I think its up to each individual couple to decide whether it is right or wrong for them.

it depends, did they give their SO their password? Me and dh have each others passwords and I check his myspace and facebook every day out of boredom.

I leave my email and facebook open all the time because I do not have anything to hide. My DH refuses to make a FB page and doesn't even have email.

I think it's wrong. No, your SO shouldn't be keeping anything from you (hypothetical you), but you should also be adult enough to ask!

Ehhhh if it was done miliciously then maybe...But if you have each others passwords than you know your so could look and what not....My dh sends me into his sometimes to retrieve things....

I don't know what's right or wrong for anyone else. That would depend on their relationship and boundaries. In OUR relationship, nothing is hidden. We never have a real need to go through the others' stuff. I did ask him this morning if I could log into his Myspace. I deleted my account along with ALL of my pics. I wanted to go into his albums so I could save some pics to my computer. I log into his AKO sometimes too. There is usually something in there that I need to handle a situation. But, to just go through emails "looking" for possible scandal? We don't do that. It would be a pretty boring search.

Agree. In our marriage, what's mine is yours, what's yours is mine. Neither of us would have an issue with this. BUT we also would go to each other and talk about it. Not head straight for facebook etc etc etc.

I don't see the problem with it.... my DH and I have each others passwords to all of our accounts for anything.... We are allowed to check whenever we want.... sometimes we do (boredom) sometimes we don't... He "thinks" i don't have his FB password, but I do LOL I only "dont" have it, bc me and my girlfriends logged in and sold all his farmtown stuff

My husband did not want to do fb at first and finally I talked him into it so he could play the same games that I do on there ... I know all his log in info but we dont keep things from each other. I have never logged in to his fb and started searching for something "bad"

Like you said though at anytime he is able to log into mine and me into his it is just not logging in to look for something that should not be there. We actually share a myspace.... IDK I guess it is to each his own... but I think it shows a lack of trust.
