Do you agree with this? Is there a point to this statement?


I personally think its exceptionally unintelligent. I don't care about other people's sex life. I couldn't care less if you are spreading your legs or not.

I also don't understand why someone would discuss their sexual life like that.

I also think it is simply a person trying to bank on someone else's work. "My SO is serving in the military, so that means I'm special because I'm not getting boinked"

Can someone explain it to me?

I always personally thought it was funny. I can see, however, where some people think it show a sort of entitlement attitude.

I personally enjoy it sometimes, just b/c I think it's funny, and I can then laugh at my situation (when he's gone). Where are you seeing this being said that is a weird place for people to discuss their sex lives? I don't go posting it anywhere, I just read it for myself and have a giggle. I don't think it actually makes me special. But I love that you said "boinked"!!!!!

I personally think its funny, while I dont agree on the whole "for your freedom" thing because mine are not at risk... I think the idea and what not is funny....

During DH's deployment it was necessary for me to be able to joke about stupid stuff and what not... I dont find it offensive or inappropriate at all

I don't agree with it either. I once ordered a shirt off Cafepress that had this really cute list of things about being a military wife, but when I got the shirt, I saw that on the back of it, it had "sexually deprived for your freedom". Needless to say I usually wear that shirt inside out or in the my home.While I do think the statement itself is funny, I hate that message that the shirt sends. And it sounds really insecure. Like we are trying to disprove all of those cheating wife stereotypes, ya know? I don't know, I see the humor, I just don't like it.

I see it as a funny, sarcastic thing to say. It has gotten a bit old. And honestly, if I'm going to be sexually deprived, that's a ****ing hardship to me lol.

I think it's funny....Not that I would wear it out in public but I always get a chuckel...But if I do see it I do feel for the person..Not bc they are sexual deprived but bc their s/o is in harms way....

On another not the day my dh came home last time I wore a sweatshirt that said "i hope you slept on the boat bc there won't be any sleeping tonight"

It was just to get a laugh out of my husband....and now it sits in my closet until it will be needed again!
