Okay, would you hire a babysitter that did not have the same view's on religion as you?

For example you are a Christian would you hire a Atheist sitter?
You are atheist would you hire a Jewish sitter?

kwim?

(I do know a woman who would ask a sitter's religion before they
were hired and if they were not christian she would not hire them)

Absolutly, i wouldn't even ask what religion they had. If they are capable of looking after my children and my children are happy i really don't know what on earth religion has to do with it.

The lady I mentioned in the OP was afraid that say a Jewish sitter or
a tree frog worshiper would try to convert her children.

I don't care what her religion is as long as they don't push it on my child.

If my child comes to her and asks about it then cool.. But if she is constantly preaching to my child and pushing her religious preferences on MY child then she gots to go!

I wouldn't think my kids would be interested in starting a religious discussion during spongebob or over a bowl of fruit loops so unless my DS started telling me strange things i wouldn't be worried about it.

I use "tree frog worshiper" when I want to talk about religion
but don't want to use a specific one. So I made up tree frog worshiper!

It really started in 11th grade in speech when we had to invent a religion
we had to have a name a "god" holidays and a holy text. So I invented
"The Tree Frog Worshiper's" now it is my go-to religion when I need to
make a point.

I don't ask about it so if they are than I wouldn't know about it unless it is brought up later on. I have had babysitters that are religious for my kids.
