Deal Breakers
I'm gonna try to keep this simple.... If you're not married - change it to apply to yourself.
Before you were married did you have a "dealbreaker" set of criteria for the "one" you were going to marry? If so, what would you do if after you married that person changed their mind on something that was "dealbreaker" criteria for you? If it makes a difference... let's say its a MAJOR part of everyday life that you don't agree on.

I got all this, and personality too.
|
I knew I couldn't marry someone who was very religious, wanted to raise kids religiously, or who tried to push their religion on me. DH knows if he ever 'converts' and tries to force me into his beliefs, we wouldn't be married much longer.

 my self estem was to low for a deal breaker lolafter my first husband, I decided that I couldnt "do" artsy, or welsh... ummm other than that, just the normal abuse/cheating/etc...

I'm going through this exact situation right now, and I'm really conflicted. I truly don't know what to do. If nothing is going to change, I don't want to wait around this whole deployment, thinking things will be wonderful when he gets home. At the same time, I don't know if this is him being a douche yet again just because he's surrounded by other guys... And it doesn't help that we haven't had communication since I found out it was apparently an issue again Ultimately, I don't think it's something I can compromise on. If it was important enough for me to consider it a dealbreaker initially, it's still a dealbreaker - just a more difficult one.
