I really don't know that much about them. I have heard (although I don't know for sure) that they are not usually very big in the south anymore. Is this true? Maybe it depends on the type of job?

My main experience with them is from my step-mom being in a teacher union. I personally think for a large scale profession it can be incredibly beneficial. As well as large scale corporations such as wal-mart who treats their employees not so great, they could benefit greatly from a union.

My mom's really in favor of bringing a Union to her work, but I don't know that much about them. However, I'm leaning in favor of them depending on how they act and what they push for.

the only experience i've had is through teachers' unions. fortunately i was in a wealthy district and we never had the big strikes like some of the other districts, so it was overall a beneficial experience. it's nice to think you have a group to stand up for your employment rights and do certain negotiations for you.

I don't know enough about them to be honest. I do know that WalMart will fire you if they even think you're thinking about starting one.
