how do you feel about diet pills?

do you think people should be able to take them or should they be banned?

have you personally ever used diet pills before?

I'm sure they can be a good thing in certain situations..... but too many people abuse them.

Personally, I steer clear because they're a stimulant and my blood pressure is already high enough.

I used to take prescribed diet pills. I think if it's for medical reasons, it is ok, just because you THINK you need them

I wouldn't go so far as to ban them, but I think tighter regulations need to be put in place. Namely, age restrictions or RX only. I saw a bottle of diet pills in my 16-year-old sister's room the other day.

FTR, yes, I have tried diet pills. They sped up my heart rate, caused anxiety, brought dizziness, and kept me up all night. That's about it.

I have tried them, used them successfully, had success on them.
I do not think they should be banned. I think they should bring Efedra(n?) back also.
People abuse aspirin and get suffer physical injuries because of it.
People need to be trusted to handle their own affairs and decisions. So long as the claims, instruction and warnings are clearly marked.
As for the adult/minor issue..Children are not to be trusted. However, at what age is someone no longer a child?
Vitamins can be dangerous to children also.

i agree with you very much so!

i have a friend whenever she gains 5 pounds she's always talking of going back on her diet pills to help her lose weight. by no means is my friend overweight or even heavy set... she's so thin, she probably hardly weights 120 pounds
