    Organ Donation

    Advertisements
Do you believe that in order for a person to receive organs, they should be a donor themselves, given they are fully capable of donating?

    And why.

No. Some people can't donate organs for one reason or another, or can't for religious reasons. But even if they can and don't, no, I don't think so.

I think no, just because I don't believe that any more screening is necessary, (they already were screened and then had to work up the waiting list).
I DO think, however, there would be nothing wrong with part of the conditions for accepting an organ transplant be to go on the donor list.

I don't think you should have to donate to receive.

I have received to ACL's from 2 different people who passed. I did find out how one died and it made me

I have, however, always wanted to donate my organs. I just feel it's right to help someone, when I am no longer in need.

I think that if you're going to take someone's organs once they past the least you can do is give that chance to someone else...and if they have religious reasons not to be a donor wouldn't they have them against getting a donation???I know like in the JW situation they wouldn't take it, but I'm not sure if they mind giving them once they're passed.

I've heard from several people over the years who have the opinion that if you mark organ donor on your license they will work less hard to revive you.

I SERIOUSLY doubt it, but it seems to be a somewhat popular opinion.

I seriously doubt that, too, and I've been in and around emergency response for years now.
