Would you kill the person who

I love DB. He always has interesting questions.

Would you kill the person who
    1. killed your greatest enemy?
    2. killed your spouse?

What's the difference between the two if you answered no to the first one.

Post #4 made me think of a new question.

If you wanted justice be done, would it involve the death penatliy?
(If so, that means we kill people to show killing people is wrong. )

Perhaps it's just a case of seperating emotion from action.
Actually, that's a quote from DB too ha.

    1. my greatest enemy is myself. so if someone killed me i'd be too dead to kill them dangit
    2. i doubt i'd kill them, i might, but i'd sure as shit do everything in my power to get justice.

    1. I'd say thanks and be on my way.
    2. I'd be really upset and want justice- but I wouldn't take it into my own hands.

i thought about this long and hard awhile ago, cuz DB asked if i could ever kill someone...but the truth is....i couldnt live with myself knowing i killed someone. i just couldn't. im not a murderer and om not God/a god, and i dont think i have the right to decide who lives or dies. IMO

Would you kill the person who
    1. killed your greatest enemy? - No, if my greatest enemy is dead then why do I want to kill the person who killed my greatest enemy?

    2. killed your spouse?
Yep - I'd slaughter someone if they killed my husband or at least root for karma to play that way.

No killing to punish someone for killing just ends up with more dead people. I do not support the death penalty.

    1) I have no "enemies." There are people I do not like, people I disagree with. I have opponents. I am not sure what would make someone an enemy enough to want to kill a person.

I hope not. It would really depend on the situation. I am sure I would feel hatred for a little bit, but enough to kill someone myself? I don't know.

I would not kill anyone out of retribution. The only time I can imagine me even thinking of taking another's life would be in the defense of another - in the moment - not after the fact becuase of what they had already done.
