    Question Deleting Original Posts

    Advertisements
Ok I'm not sure how this will go but I want to ask. WHen member says something (usually inflammatory, or otherwise ill received) and there OP is not quoted during the discussion (QFP) Should that person be allowed to completely delete their OP so no one knows what was said?

*I'm not talking about spelling errors, OPSEC or even responses to the post, just the OP that started the topic*

Example: I'm starting this debate if it goes over like a lead balloon and I feel hurt, angry, embarrassed, etc... Should I be able to delete this Original Post???

Nope. It's the whole "mean what you say and say what you mean".

It's kind of annoying to me with people delete the OP. Then there are a bunch of random responses and you have what the conversation is actually about.

I guess I can see doing it in some situations, but if you regret it, can't you just post that too, instead of deleting it? JMO

    Nope!

You (and I mean this in a general 'you') hit the "submit" button, therefore asking for any and ALL responses to that OP that YOU posted.

If you don't like the responses, either don't post something that like in the future, or put on your and deal with it.

(again, all "you's" that were used were general, not directed toward anyone specific )

Allowed to? Yes, as I don't want that level of moderation.

Should they? No. Luckily it only ever makes the OP look like a crybaby douchenozzle
