When people refer to their SO's as "soldiers, sailors, coasties, marines"....

When they haven't gone to boot camp/haven't graduated yet?

I am not saying it bugs me, sometimes I just go

and move on, but I have seen it irritate others.

me neither. but i think it's kinda weird to refer to anyone as a "sailor/soldier/etc" in regular conversation that has nothing to do with the military. that annoys me more.

It does a little. Mainly because I think it's a title someone earns by going through boot camp and learning their skill.

No...I don't notice either.

I'd figure they are just really proud their SO is going through it and is in the military...or they might not even distinguish the difference.
