    Conservative vs. Liberal

    Advertisements
I heard an interesting quote today:

"If you're not a liberal by the time you're 30, you have no heart, and if you're not a conservative by the time you're 40, you have no brain."

Just wanted to see what y'all think. I'm not going to voice my opinion YET, because I'd rather hear your opinions of the QUOTE than your opinions of ME. I'm open to any viewpoint.

I'm past both of those age milestones. My political and social views are much more left-leaning than right-ish, but as I have grown older, I have become more conservative in some areas (especially fiscally).

I agree with you. I'd consider myself fiscally conservative..... though I do not believe that this current Administration is responsible with money in any way, shape or form.

I'm definitely more to the left when it comes to human rights, equality, values, etc.

    But I'm only 22.

    I think that's very common.

I think it's safe to say you're a little Libertarian leaning. And I think Libertarian attitudes increase with age, wisdom and an understanding of macro & micro economics.

After a discussion I had with my macroecnomics professor, I began to think less socially about finances.

When I was in my early 20s and "with the Lord" I was super conservative and rigid, even though it was killing my soul.

Now that I'm a heathen, I'm so liberal I strangle trees in the process with my death grip.
