    Perfect attendance??

Do you think that this award should be given in schools? Does it make a child go to school sick, not feeling well? Being studious is one thing... but what are your thoughts on this?

Sure, I think that there should be a reward for doing a great job by being there everyday.

When my kids get sick and want to stay home, they are too sick to care about it

I think there should be recognition for being diligent and ensuring you attend every day

I dont really care for it. I hate when other parents send their kids to school sick and in turn mine get sick.

My sister and my DH got those awards all the time because my sister was never ever sick and I guess neither was my DH LOL

    I think its pretty awesome!

Thats like debating about student of the report period and such.

i don't really have a problem with it. i think i got it ONCE in all the time i was in school. i was a hypochondriac and would stay home when i really didn't need to lol. i think for some kids that are perfectionists though it could be an issue. in that case though, if they're sick, their parents need to step in and put their foot down if they NEED to stay home.

Bah it doesn't matter to me. I think it's cool to get a reward for going everyday. I never got it. I always had to make up days in High School. lol.

I have gotten attendance awards before and my mom never knew about it. She certainly never made me go to school sick to earn it. I honestly don't think people send there kids to school sick for an award I think MAYBE they may send a younger kid to school with a cold because they can't afford to stay home from work for a simple cold.

I don't see why not. I think most parents will keep their kids home if they are really to sick. I got the award a time or two but it just happened that I had attended school every day, I wasn't trying to get an attendance award.
