Spinoff of who would you vote for? -- Good things about your candidate

    Advertisements
I'm not really interested in debating, but I'm certain that there will be debate. I'm interested in learning all that is good with each of the candidates.

What I want to know is, what specific platforms do you agree with your chosen candidate on?

If you want to say, "I will vote for so-and-so because the other guy is bad," then go find another thread. In fact, I think I'll start that thread after starting this one, because I am interested in the big picture... I just don't want the good to be lost among the bad.

Be ready to defend your candidate's stances, because I will be asking tough questions in order to learn if your candidate really believes what he's saying or if he's just saying things to get votes.

Oh, I want to add real quick: This isn't a debate about the issues themselves. It's about what issues each candidate stands behind.

So, as an highly polarizing, extreme example, if your candidate has a stance on the death penalty, the debate isn't about whether the death penalty is good or bad, it's about whether your candidate actually supports that opinion.

I'm writing in Ron Paul, even though he's dropped out of the race.

    Why?

Because he's the only one who believes in our Constitution still. Because he is against the NAU, he voted against the Patriot Act, he is against the Federal Reserve, oh I could go on and on about Ron Paul.

    I Ron Paul.

I have mucho respect for the man.... he has personal beliefs on things like gay marriage and abortion.... but he doesn't force them on everyone else....

    Separation of church & state

I wish he would've gotten more attention

I agree with everyting posted about Obama, there are a few things I dont' agree with (unconditional talks).

One thing not mentioned (at least I didn't see it) is nuclear power. I think that is a key to geting off oil and I think he supports it.
I worship individuals for their highest possibilities as individuals, and I loathe humanity, for its failures to live up to these possibilities.
