    Exes and Pets

If your ex gave you a pet and then things with your ex went horribly wrong would you keep the pet and be reminded of your ex every day or would you give the pet away?

I never had this problem but two of my friends did. My friend lauren bought a dog with her boyfriend and after they broke up his mom gave it away without even telling her! ew. and my other friend trina and he boyfriend had a dog and dated for 4 years and when they broke up a couple months ago, he just kept it. I dunno what i would do, thats a tough one.

Of course keep the pet! Its not the pets fault things didn't work out, why should it pay??? That just seems selfish to me.

Well, I consider my pets to be part of my family. I wouldn't "re-home" my children because they were from a failed relationship - why would I re-home the pet?

Although I've never been in a relationship when we both got a pet. Even when we got our dog, I picked her out and I named her, so she's my dog. The next dog is "his"

I wouldn't give away any children we had so I would definitely keep the pet! Our pets are our children!

About 12 years ago, I dumped by loser boyfriend. He had a dog that I LOVED, but he didn't take care of her..

I stole her from the backyard when he was a the bar a week after I dumped him.

I loved that dog sooooooo much.. I think he knew, but he never cared enough to come over to my house and get her back.
