    Text Messages ruin communication skills....

    Advertisements
My amiga just got asked out via text message
and all I could think was lame

like be man! ask her out in person you coward

She didnt think it was lame at all, she said she preferred it that way
she said that dealing with hook ups and break ups via text message were easier

Okay it might be easier but it less honest, KWIM?
I think that too much texting can be bad for any relationship
How much can you really share with another person via texting?
I text but it not my ONLY communication

    What do you think?

I don't use text messaging AT ALL. I think it's pretty pointless, why not just call someone? I actually had text messaging completely disabled from my phone.

i use text messaging when i can't call, i.e. the kids are acting insane, or making dinner. but to ask someone out like that or argue over text?? well that is just stupid! Somethings are better said FACE TO FACE.

I text, and my communication skills are just fine - so for the second day in a row I'm totally going against the poll flow and voting no.

I don't know about you guys
but I would find a text message break up
    to be insulting

I seriously, If you were with someone for like 6months
and you get a text "Its ovr srry"
    he'd be toast.....

I don't text, but yes, I think it does ruin communication skills.

I have actually been thinking about this lately. Because for instance, your upset with someone while your texting, you have time to THINK and then REPSOND. But in person your more abt to just blert out whatever comes to mind, and you sound like a total jackass.

And sometimes, I forget what it's like to talk to people on the phone....I am a MASTER texter...
