Question What do you fear will happen?

With the gas prices the way they are, and the food prices rising to cover the fuel....

What do you fear will happen to this country? How long do you think this will last?

Yeah I'm wiping out my answer. It was a stupid one

Well, I'm moving to 1.4 miles from my work and 6 miles from DJ's work. I suppose if things are real bad, we can get a couple of bikes. (Actually, I should really get myself a bike anyway ... 1.4 miles is nothing. )

We're going to garden as well.

Well, the way I see it, one of two things will happen.

We will either be thrown into a green revolution and hybrid, solar, wind, etc. technologies will boom and take over the market, increasing their availability and reducing their price. Oil companies will suffer and that will hurt the economy but with people saving so much money by living more eco-friendly we will recover quickly.

    OR...

We will do nothing to fix the situation, our economy will collapse, and we will lose world superpower status.

I am hoping that we decide as a nation to go with door number one.

i think eventually they'll have to put a price cap on the fuel prices either that or maybe we'll f-ing band together and start boycotting the gas stations which will send a message to the oil company

I think that petty theif crimes will rise, as well as other crimes...Its going to be too much money to fill the car to go anywhere...I see stores closing, espically local ones that arent chains.

    I hope something happens...

I'll create a garden which will provide my fruit and veggies and grains for flour. I'll raise chickens for eggs and churn my own butter.
