    Aborted fetal cells and vaccines

    Advertisements
This was sparked by another thread, I'm curious.

For those who are against abortion:-

I get confused on what people feel regarding the disposing of fetal tissue. I am fully aware most pro-lifers will give a response like"they shouldn't have been killed to begin with" but that isn't my question..

Approximately 3700 abortions are performed daily in the U.S., what should be done with all of them? Many view these as valuable cells and tissue for medical science, should they be tossed? Is it because you don't agree with how they came to be, or for another reason?

If so, why, and how does that make sense(ethically speaking) in your opinion? What would be a better solution(bearing in mind cost effectiveness, environmental safety, and humane disposal concerns)?

Please, let's try to keep this one factual and civil, guys...google is at your disposal....

That is not why I am opposed to giving dd the shots on the aap schedule but if it comes down to it i will use that as the reason to get my exemption if i have to. i am not against stem cell or aborted fetal cells being used in research because fact is someone made that decision to get an abortion and yes while i wish it had never happened i don't see the harm in using the remnants.

If the fetal tissue can be used to benefit the health of others then I have no problem with it.

Also, for those interested-I found a chart listing versions of vaccines that do not contain the cells

    I am pro-life.
i feel that if abortion is legal, then the fetal tissue should be used for good, such as vaccines and stem cells.

I am against abortion, if I give my child a shot with fetal cells with it what does that say about me?

It would be the same thing as me against how animals are treated while being slaughter but still eat meat, ya know?

Make sense Doesn't answer the OP question, though...

What do you think should be done with the fetuses instead?
