    tanning while pregnant?

    Advertisements
    what do you think?

yall all know i work at a tanning salon
we have a few ladies who tan while pregnant, i obviously have never had a child so im not sure what the "do's" and "dont's" are, but i think tanning would be a no no.
i know if you are pregnant and want to tan at our place you have to bring a doctors note so our mgr can keep it on file.

i was just curious what every once else thought.

I guess if you need a tan that bad... no different then being outside and getting tan. I guess if everyone says tanning beds are so safe why the doctors note?

I guess it would be no different than those that lay out in the actual sun day after day.

    the doctors note...

if for some reason the child has a problem, or the pregnancy fails we dont want them to sue us.

I was always told NO NO NO. For some reason, baking your body while a precious baby is inside doesn't seem like the brightest idea. Personally, I wouldn't allow pregnant women to tan at a salon I owned strictly for liability reasons. Just because they got permission from their doctor doesn't mean they won't come back to bite you when something goes wrong...everyone is so sue happy now a days. I wouldn't trust it.
