    reverse ______

    Advertisements
    discrimination, sexism, etc.

I don't really feel like debating the concept, rather the term.

Why do people call something "reverse discrimination" when it is, for example, black people discriminating against a white person?

Why is it not just discrimination?

Do you use the "reverse" terminology?

    poll on the way
this is like a bad movie, and i'd give it a 5 on my netflix

It's discrimination, plain and simple, black and white.

Reverse discrimination would be...love seeing no color. But I realize we're not debating the concept

I say reverse discrimination, but normally I say it when the victim is the opposite of the original intent. Does that make sense? If someone carries something so far that it is now the opposite.

I agree with the concept though. It is all discrimination.

I think that the reason people call it that is because black people were the group that was 'descriminated' for so long, and now whites are feeling the 'heat'. But it's not only whites. I used to call it reverse, but don't anymore. After growing up and really seeing things - I just call it descimination.

I think the term reverse discrimination only applies when it is talking about SOCIAL discrimination, not personal discrimination.

    i've never used that term.

if you think about it... wouldn't reverse discrimination mean NOT discriminating, but accepting? the reverse of discriminating?
