Would you put your teen daughter on Birth Control 'in case' she decides to have sex? If so, What age?

Yes, whenever they though they needed to be. I went on BC at 14. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

It's so hard to make that decision because they may take it as a go ahead to have sex. If they're going to be doing it anyway, might as well protect them. I think 14 is a good age...now a days it seems like 11 or 12 yr olds need to be put on the pill as well.

No. My dd can go on bcp for medical reasons, but not "in case" she decides to have sex.

If one of my daughters came to me and asked for BC or if I felt the need to talk about to them about getting some then yes I would.

In regards to age, I don't know

It would also depend on my daughter of course. Birth control pills aren't going to be like her bday present when she turns 14. I also don't want to offend her if she's absolutely not having sex and I've already assumed she's promiscuous. I guess it would depend on her behavior. This is harder than I tought.

yes my daughter will be on birth control when she starts showing interest in boys (be that at 12 or at 17)

ETA: i had horrendous periods in the beginning so that is why i was put on it.

Exactly how I feel. Morissa is 11 and right now she's very open with me about things. I know that may change, but I am building a trusting open commucation with her now, so that If/When the time comes that she is THINKING about sex, she will come to me and not be afraid to talk to me.
