So basically they are claiming to be a terrorist organization with the mission to destroy the church of scientology, huh? Um, COOL. Because we need more of those...

I think scientology is dumb, but I really don't find their beliefs that much weirder than those of Christians or any other religion. That church isn't really hurting anyone and people have the freedom to choose to be a part of whatever religion they want in this country.

The makers of that video are doing nothing but spreading hate and making threats for no reason.
It's Halloween so.... you know, BOO!

Agreed. I have seen people of EVERY religion claim the same crap that Scientology claims. They all think they have all the answers, they are right and everyone else has it wrong, and they are the only way to "heaven".

I agree. They are just making a big deal over nothing and spreading hate. I have read some of the things Scientologists believe in and I personally agree with some of them. They are no different than any other religion they are just new with a few new beliefs. I think people who do crap like this might as well do it to every other frikken religion out there as well.

I think both of you need to look up Lisa McPherson. Also, I think both of you would have the wits about you to realize that Scientology CANNOT be considered a religion. I would think you would do more research before making such statements.

Um ok yeah I'm sorry but I really don't need to see that stuff. As far as scientology is concerned it IS a religion to them so whatever. It's a group of people who believe in something so isn't that a religion? I'm not going to look at all those links because I really don't care if YOU think it's a religion or not because THEY do. Sure it's not common beliefs and it's something new but who cares. To call it a cult is just stupid but I'm done in here I still think of it as a religion and think some people need to grow up and just let them believe what they want as long as they aren't hurting others.

"A religion is a set of common beliefs and practices generally held by a group of people, often codified as prayer, ritual, and religious law. Religion also encompasses ancestral or cultural traditions, writings, history, and mythology, as well as personal faith and mystic experience. The term "religion" refers to both the personal practices related to communal faith and to group rituals and communication stemming from shared conviction"

"When I was first asked to pass judgment on the religious nature of Scientology I conducted a small random sample survey of people participating in the activities of the Church of Scientology in Vancouver, B.C., Canada (1978). The results of this survey plus qualitative interviews with Ms. Davidson, a number of other local Scientologists, and an examination of a number of key texts published by the movement convinced me that in terms of Ninian Smart's definition Scientology is a religion. Looking at the data again it should also be noted that Scientology also qualifies as a religion in terms of Stark and Bainbridge's definition.

Thus in terms of two standard and widely used definitions of religion there is no doubt that the Church of Scientology at that time qualified as a religion. I have no reason to believe that in the last twenty years things have changed. In fact, if anything the religious aspects of Scientology have increased. "

Those are not links to prove whether or not its a religion. If you would have looked at them, you would have realized that. The problem is they ARE hurting people, they ARE doing things ILLEGALLY...and everyone seems to turn around and say "to each their own" because they call themselves a "religion". Whatever. Classify it as a "religion" or a "cult" is absolutely and completely pointless to the point of my post. It's absolutely irrelevant..."so whatever"
