Morning After Pill - Debates

So dont blast me for this.. ive NEVER taken it but today a girl was telling me how she took it for the 5th time

so she basically uses at as BC and i just could not comprehend using it so many times..

How do you feel about it??

Also, what do you think about being able to get it without a prescription now??

when i read the title i was like um...hunny please dont i think its a little late and im happy thats not what this is about...using it as BC is not the best idea from what ive heard its not pleasant...

i think that's stupid. i've taken it once, a condom broke.

it's horrible for the heart. i think it's horrid that you can get it without a prescription. it contains very very high levels of hormones, and as shown by history that's not good for a woman. it just makes me so mad that you can get the morning after pill easier than real birth control?

that's the way it seems. prevention is so overlooked, it just burns me up!

I dont have an issue with it. I would prefer someone go this route than numerous abortions or unwanted children.

I can see why it is avail without a script. It's rare that I can get into the clinic the SAME day when I am sick. And dont you have to take within a certain time frame?

i really disagree with it being available without a prescription. and i don't think it should be used like a form of birth control. that's just irresponsible.

that being said, i've taken it once. i don't think i needed to. but my stupid ass douche bag ex-bf made me take it because he was all freaked out and was a jerk. it is not pleasant. i was nautious and cramped up the whole time from so many hormones and whatnot. i had to have a prescription still when i had it, and i think it was good to have to consult a doctor. they talked to me and made sure to tell me to be safe, etc in the future and made sure it was what i wanted to do.

i will never take it again, i was young at the time. well, 18. but had just started having sex and the condom had come off on accident. i was just talking to joe tonight about how if you are "adult" enough to have sex, you need to be "adult" enough to deal with the consequences of your actions. if i could do it over, i wouldn't have let him convince me to take it.
