    Smothered Pork Chops

    Advertisements
I made these a while back, and they were EXCELLENT.

Smothered Chops with Onions and Bacon

The only things I did differently: I did not have any bay leaves, I only used 2 bone-in pork chops rather than 6 (didn't slit the sides and they were fine), and I omitted the vinegar and parsley at the end. I would recommend using low-sodium soy sauce too.

The meat was the most tender pork I've eaten in all my life, it fell right off the bone, and the gravy was so scrumptious over homemade garlic mashed potatoes.

Seems yummy and easy. I wonder if it would work with Pork Steaks, I have four large pork steaks. I usually BBQ them, but this seems like a nice change.

I'm sure that would work too! The crockpot is magical in that it makes any cut of meat fall-apart tender.

Get one! You can get good ones for $20-30. I have "Crockpot" brand's 6-quart, and it's my single most treasured cooking utensil.

I've never eaten lamb, let alone tried it in the crockpot, but it's definitely worth a try! The gravy is the best part anyway.

I have honestly never made a bad crockpot meal, nowhere NEAR bad. It's so worth it!
