Can someone tell me what are good cuts of beef that will shred great in the crock. Similiar to pulled pork consistancy.

    Thanks!

I've always used a pork shoulder...but I bake mine in the oven at a low degree for 4-5 hours. I dropped and broke my crock a few months ago.

You broke your crock pot? I don't know what I would do without mine. I especially love those handy crock pot liners! Whoever came up with that idea is a rockstar!

I did! I had just finished cleaning it and was drying it off. I guess I didn't have a good grip on it and it slipped right out of my hands. I nearly cried!

I never used the liners...I was always afraid they'd melt in my food or something wierd! LOL!!!

round steak and any kind of roast (chuck, arm, rump, rib) are my go to for beef shredding.
Flank steak might work as well, but its super expensive.

pot roast is great! I put mine on high for a few hours with some carrots and a package of onion soup mix sprinkled on top. I put it in early in the morning or say like 9 or 10 and it's ready by dinner time sooo simple!

Just made one yesterday actually!!!! i used a chuck roast aka the pot roast! I found the recipe on Pintrest! You use a packet of Italian dressing,2 cans beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper and obviously carrots and potatoes and i let it cook all day and it literally shreds with a fork!!! YUM!

Betty Crocker has a recipe for a kick ass bbq beef roast. Go to their site and look up "Slow Cooker Root Beer Barbecue Beef Sandwiches". I serve them on pretzel rolls, orgasmically delicious. Uses rump roast
