1 large potato, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch pieces (1 1/2 cups)
2 medium carrots, sliced (1 cup) 1 can (14oz) chicken broth 1/4 cup all purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves 1/4 teaspoon pepper 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs ( I use chicken breasts) 1 box (9 oz) frozen baby sweet peas, thawed 1 1/2 cups bisquick mix 1/2 cup milk paprika 1. In 4 quart crock pot place potatos and carrots. In medium bowl, mix broth, flour, salt, marjoram and pepper; pour into cooker. Add chicken. 2. Cover; cook on low setting for 6 hours. 3. Stir in peas. Increase heat setting to High. Cover; cook 15 mins. 4. In small bowl, stir bisquick mix and milk until bisquick mix is moistened. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto chicken mixture. Sprinkle with paprika. Cover; cook on high about 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of dumplings comes out clean. about 4 servings. prep time: about 15 mins. start to finish: about 7 hours. |
