Help Corned Beef & Cabbage- 1 more question! :o)

OKAY. So I have my crock pot. I have a 4 lb Corned Beef Brisket. How long and at which temp?! ANY help would be appreciated. Sorry, I'm clueless with the slow cooking... I tried to look up a recipe- but every one is different!

    Thanks in advance!

My crockpot has time/temperature settings, and I put it in at the low/12 hour setting in the morning. It almost never stays in there the whole 12 hours, but that keeps my crockpot from switching over from "cooking" to "warming" modes.

Throw in the corned beef, cabbage, maybe some carrots and potatoes if you have room, and a cup or two of water, put it on low, and leave it alone until you're ready to serve. It should be done.

Yup! Mine is going on low for 8 hours and then adding the cabbage the last hour.

NP. If you don't have them, pick up the Fix It and Forget It cookbooks for your crock pot. There are lots of yummy recipes in there. I am a huge fan of crock pot cooking.

There is nothing better than coming home to dinner that is already cooked!

My mommy got me the cookbooks and a crock pot for Christmas the same year. I have gotten a lot of use out of them.
